NTT DATA Converts 30 Clients and Four Million Insurance Policies to Digitally-enabled Platform
PLANO, TX – April 2, 2019 – NTT DATA Services, a recognized leader in global technology services, today announced the company converted 30 insurance clients and more than four million life insurance policies from the mainframe to Linux through LifeSysTM, the company’s proprietary Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) solution for policy administration.

The modernized system enables faster setup of new portfolios, lower maintenance, a sandbox environment for product validations and ease of integration with a comprehensive Insurance Digital Platform that provides rich analytics and a seamless customer experience across multiple administration systems.
LifeSys supports life, annuity and group/worksite products and more than four million policies across 30 life insurance companies, many with multiple books of business. Due to the depth and breadth of this system, a phased approach was implemented for the migration in order to minimize client impact and associated risks.
NTT DATA’s LifeSys platform supports day-to-day operations for the company’s life insurance clients, including the full spectrum of life insurance and annuity operations, such as new business services, policy administration, claims and other back-office functions.
