NTT DATA Named a Leader in NelsonHall NEAT Report for Cognitive & Self-Healing IT Infrastructure Management

Company Credited for Providing Hyper-automation Through Nucleus Platform and Ecosystem Tools

TOKYO – April 18, 2023 – NTT DATA, a global digital business and IT services provider, today announced it has been named a Leader in the NelsonHall 2023 NEAT Report for Cognitive & Self-Healing IT Infrastructure Management. NelsonHall recognized NTT DATA in the Leaders group based on performance of its services-differentiating Nucleus platform and suite of products.

The NelsonHall Vendor Evaluation and Assessment Tool (NEAT) report analyzed the performance of 13 vendors’ offerings, delivery excellence, market presence and benefits achieved with cognitive and self-healing IT infrastructure management capabilities. Leaders in each category were chosen based on their ability to meet future client requirements as well as deliver immediate benefits to clients.

NelsonHall describes cognitive and self-healing IT infrastructure management services as those that utilize AI, automation, analytics and other capabilities to enable clients to drive operational transformation and deliver value across every business function. NTT DATA leverages the Nucleus platform, products and associated set of services in an automation-first go-to-market approach to deliver value across industries.

“Enterprises that are laser focused on driving innovation and lowering costs are looking for a partner that can help them leverage hyper-automation to accelerate business outcomes,” said Kaz Nishihata, Senior Executive Vice President & Representative Director at NTT DATA Corporation. “Nucleus is the foundation for our automation vision. Taking advantage of our industry-leading technologies, solutions and skills, clients can achieve operational improvement across a wide range of business processes.”

In the report, NelsonHall highlighted NTT DATA’s focus on leveraging Nucleus products for individual use cases and the Nucleus platform for hyper-automation to effectively bring independent business motions into a hyper-automated solution. Use cases in manufacturing, for example, include managing factory output, utilities, infrastructure, and just-in-time materials. Among other industries, NTT DATA also has developed a Nucleus platform solution for government agencies’ mission-critical IT systems, and a Nucleus platform for healthcare to accelerate patient access, care, and engagement, as well as provider revenue cycle and population health management.

NelsonHall credited NTT DATA’s strong toolsets across its proprietary Nucleus platform and products, its acquired IP, and third-party solutions, which can be integrated, in support of multi-cloud services and hyper-automation. The analyst firm noted NTT DATA’s investments in automation, machine learning, artificial intelligence, its digital reskilling initiatives, and its broad global delivery footprint across cloud and infrastructure services.

“We believe being recognized as a Leader in NelsonHall’s highly respected NEAT report validates Nucleus’ ability to accelerate enterprise outcomes by providing seamless, insights-driven workflow improvements,” said Tanvir Kahn, Chief Digital Officer at NTT DATA Services. “Nucleus is a sophisticated balance of people and technology that enables scalable information synthesis, at the pace businesses need, where they need it most. Whether you’re building a cloud foundation or a modern, integrated digital workplace, Nucleus is the end-to-end engine for collating insights-based services into one cohesive platform, identifying opportunities and the optimal deployment of resources.”

Another strength highlighted in the report is NTT DATA’s development of centers of excellence (CoE) supporting global cloud and innovation in initiatives. The cloud CoE enables clients to design cloud-native architectures using modern design principles and provides senior-level support to be layered on top of NTT DATA managed services.

NelsonHall projects the cognitive healing IT infrastructure management market will grow at 13.6% per year, from $66.3 billion in 2023 to roughly $98.5 billion in 2026. Growth over the next year will be driven by accelerated enterprise-wide adoption of hybrid multi-cloud infrastructures, with enterprises focusing on reducing operating costs and increasing innovation.

“NTT DATA provides hyper-automation through a vendor-agnostic approach, utilizing its Nucleus platform and ecosystem partner tools,” said John Laherty, Senior IT Services Research Analyst at NelsonHall. “Nucleus enables a consolidated view across data centers, cloud, applications, security, and workplaces, providing a single source of truth and orchestrating multiple solutions to drive client automation outcomes. Also, through AIOps, it analyzes business, delivery, and application performance to generate actionable management insights through proactive and predictive services.”
