PLANO, TX – December 20, 2016 – NTT DATA, Inc. today announced the company has been awarded a contract with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection (CBP). During the five-year, $85 million contract, NTT DATA will provide CBP’s Office of Acquisition (OA), formerly known as the Office of Technology Innovation and Acquisition, with a comprehensive Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) program, covering the entire system lifecycle and the OA enterprise.

CBP processes more than one million passengers and pedestrians, 72,000 truck, rail and sea containers and more than 280,000 incoming privately owned vehicles—providing the necessary checks and balances for the systems supporting this volume of entries is mission critical to protecting our nation. On this contract, NTT DATA will independently verify and validate that products and systems for border management comply with CBP requirements, and ensure effective and efficient program management.

NTT DATA’s role will support OA initiatives that help control the border using a broad range of technologies, including IV&V across many CBP programs from agent portable systems and mobile surveillance systems to fixed tower systems.

PLANO, TX – April 30, 2018 – NTT DATA Services today released its latest Customer Friction Factor (CFF℠) assessment. The new study examined digital customer service transactions in the health insurance industry, specifically grading insurers as Leaders or Laggards based on how easy or difficult it was for Baby Boomers to shop for Medicare Advantage plans online.
