Plano, TX – November 3, 2015 –NTT DATA, Inc., a leading IT services provider, today announced the launch of its Postmodern Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) services and solutions. This new approach to ERP integration, deployment and management is uniquely designed to address the evolving needs of modern organizations. Further reinforcing this move, the company has published findings in collaboration with IDG Research Services (IDG), a leader of marketing and media-related research for technology marketers, on what companies are experiencing today, as well as their future third-party service needs.

As enterprises continue to transition operations to a Digital Business environment including cloud computing, mobile solutions and big data analytics, the complexity of ERP systems has been magnified.  NTT DATA is leading the way to help customers benefit from this seismic shift with more than 10,000 ERP professionals around the world.

“Today’s ERP solutions have created a new paradigm in that many organizations could not function without a well-integrated, comprehensive solution,” said Bhalchandra Bhosale, senior vice president of global SAP practice, NTT DATA, Inc. “Because of this, global enterprises need an ERP partner with deep expertise in both business processes and systems integration so they can take full advantage of their investment. This, in turn, will drive profitability and growth by helping their teams be more productive and efficient.”

NTT DATA’s approach to postmodern ERP has been reinforced by IDG’s independent expert analysis. IDG surveyed more than 100 respondents at the director level and above from organizations with 1,000 or more employees. Respondents were required to have direct knowledge of their organizations’ use of ERP solutions to provide appropriate and relevant feedback.

Nearly three-quarters of survey respondents reported the complexity of their organization’s ERP ecosystem has increased during the past two years based on a shift to cloud deployments. This complexity is exacerbated by new technology platforms, disparate systems and a lack of strategic management, requiring a partner with deep business process and integration experience. Additionally, 45 percent of respondents have enterprise strategies in place to govern ERP deployments as they continue to transition operations to a Digital Business environment. As a result, business process and integration expertise were cited as critical or highly-desired traits for prospective ERP partners.

“As the enterprise landscape becomes increasingly complex with a shift to a digital environment, corporations’ can expect new challenges with their ERP systems,” said Bhosale. “IDG’s findings revealed NTT DATA’s approach to ERP management and integration are ideally poised to address both current and future demands and trends that organizations face.”

The Postmodern ERP services and solutions from NTT DATA will help organizations address these challenges with a comprehensive approach to strategy, integration and deployment. The company’s comprehensive ERP and Digital Business consulting services span the top ERP platforms including SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, Salesforce and Infor Lawson. Expertise also encompasses public, private or hybrid cloud-based platforms.
