“Developing creative and effective leaders is imperative to maintaining our competitive advantage,” said Imran Sayeed, Chief Technology Officer of NTT DATA, Inc. “The Samurai Leadership program helps chart a clear and accessible career path for people who are striving to grow personally and professionally. Gamification is proving to be one of the most effective means for career development because it cuts across geographies, divisions and seniority levels. It has the added benefit of being fun, of course, too.”

The game has generated upwards of 300 new product and service improvement ideas, resulting in increased revenue and cost savings for clients. NTT DATA has also leveraged gamification with clients to solve similar professional development challenges as well as driving business efficiencies, customer loyalty, sales enablement, relationship management, and data validation.

“The theme of this year's InformationWeek 500 is digital business. It's a movement, rooted in data analytics, mobile computing, social networking and other customer-focused technologies that are turning companies and industries on their ear," said InformationWeek Editor In Chief Rob Preston. "Every enterprise is now a digital business — or needs to become one fast. The organizations in our ranking are leading the way.”
