• Dell Services placed in Leader category of the overall IoT Services in the NelsonHall Vendor Evaluation & Assessment Tool (NEAT)
• Same report places Dell Services in Leader category for IoT Application Services, Secure IoT Infrastructure Management and New Business Model Development
• Dell’s IoT Services helps customers streamline and optimize business with right IoT transformation

Dell Services today announced that it has been positioned as a Leader in overall IoT Services in the recently released NelsonHall Internet of Things “NEAT” evaluation. In the same report, Dell Services was also positioned as a leader in IoT Application Services, Secure IoT Infrastructure Management and New Business Model Development.

The NEAT tool assesses vendors against their ‘ability to deliver immediate benefit’ and their ‘ability to meet client future requirements’. NelsonHall evaluated 11 vendors for this report. The scoring is based on a combination of analyst assessment, principally around measurements of the ability to deliver immediate benefit, and feedback from interviewing of vendor clients, principally in support of measurements of levels of partnership and ability to meet future client requirements.

As a Leader in the NEAT evaluation, Dell Services is recognized by NelsonHall as a vendor that exhibits both a high ability relative to its peers to deliver immediate benefit and a high capability relative to its peers to meet client future requirements.

Dell Digital Business Services IoT Services provide consulting, strategy and integration to help information-intensive enterprises customize IoT approaches for their industry and unique business needs. Dell helps customers build connected products by leveraging their current technology investments, equipment and data to quickly and securely enable analytics-driven action. As a result, customers can drive new business models, products, services, and generate new sources of revenue. Dell Services offers industry-specific services and solutions for healthcare, banking, insurance, retail, manufacturing and education to effectively address these verticals’ own priorities for digital adoption.

Dell Services’ continued leadership in Digital Business Services results from its nearly 20 years of experience backed by strong, integrated business domain knowledge, global delivery and center of excellence teams and Dell’s deep heritage as a digital pioneer.

“When developing an IoT strategy, customers may face major hurdles such as high costs, lack of operational data on how assets are being used, security concerns and integration questions,” said Raman Sapra, executive director and global head, Digital Business Services, Dell. “With our IoT offerings, we provide an end-to-end approach that is grounded in experience and pragmatism to develop a strategy that reaps many benefits, including cost savings, a keen use of resources, and the connection of people, systems, and things to offer real real-time insights.”

"As enterprise customers adopt IoT they are challenged with understanding the business use case/ROI, the complex set of IoT products, solutions and enterprise-class concerns such as security and integration." said Raman Sapra, executive director and global head, Digital Business Services, Dell. "With our IoT solutions we provide an end-to-end portfolio of service offerings, leveraging our own IP and partners which helps connect people, systems, and things together to enable real-time insights and deliver business benefits".

Mike Smart, IT Services Analyst with NelsonHall, said “Through the development of its Dell Digital Services business, Dell Services is positioned as an end-to-end IoT provider, offering services ranging from product engineering, application development and maintenance, infrastructure services, and security services through Dell SecureWorks. Its IoT accelerator for healthcare clients has enabled faster time-to-market for IoT solutions, and the introduction of accelerators in more industries, starting with insurance this year, will further this trend.”
