Dell Services today announced that it has achieved MEDITECH READY certification – one of only nine North American vendors currently READY-certified. The certification enables Dell Services to further equip healthcare customers with integrated and secure IT solutions, resulting in overall patient care improvement. Dell has also earned its MEDITECH Hosting Solution (MSite) "Best Practice" classification for management and administration of the MEDITECH infrastructure and the supporting IT Processes from Securance Consulting.

Through MEDITECH implementations management, Dell has helped customers maximize their return on investment through providing a secure and compliant private cloud platform for IT implementations. Customers including Adena Health and Victory Healthcare have leveraged Dell’s consulting practices and MEDITECH support to deliver better patient care.

"The Dell consultants engaged on the MEDITECH READY 6.1 implementation have proven to be experienced and knowledgeable," said Linn Weimer, Chief Strategic Information Officer, Adena Health System. "They have listened to Adena’s needs and are working side by side with the Adena team to provide quality professional consulting that will enable them to achieve success with the implementation."

Victory Healthcare has also experienced integration support from equipping its medical centers with state-of-the-art technology. "Dell was the only solutions provider that demonstrated the agility and willingness to collaborate with Victory Healthcare in developing a customized delivery model to support our immediate and future business needs. Dell’s counsel and implementation team orchestrated the successful MEDITECH 6.1 deployment that our organization needed to achieve cost savings, systems efficiencies, improved financial and clinical workflows, and most importantly; the foundation to support improved patient care through future EMR initiatives," said Yobi Kasper, CIO and Vice President for Victory Healthcare.

"Dell Healthcare Services brings 25 years of experience solving healthcare challenges to run, grow, and transform healthcare organizations. This certification underscores our commitment to focusing on the needs of healthcare organizations and the MEDITECH community," said Sid Nair, Vice President and Global General Manager, Healthcare & Life Sciences, Dell Services. "MEDITECH READY allows us to create solutions that build our customers’ trust and help them achieve best-in-class patient services."

To help today’s healthcare organizations meet compliance and answer their patient’s needs, MEDITECH has created the READY (Rapid Adoption, Evidence Based, Advanced Workflows and Dedicated Team approach contributing to Your Success) certification to help health organizations properly plan, manage and train their physicians to deliver key technologies that streamline administrative and clinical processes and enhance patient care.
