In Which We Are Quoted on Enterprise 3.0

I was honored to be contacted by David Roe Leaving the Site Icon of CMS Wire for an article Leaving the Site Icon he was writing entitled “Six Signs You’re Becoming a Digital Enterprise.” His goal was to provide practical advice to companies as they travel on the road to becoming an Enterprise 3.0 organization.

I provided David with an infographic showing the six enablers NTT DATA has identified as being common to all companies on this journey: people, leadership, management culture, organizational intelligence, business processes, and enterprise systems.

I pointed out, as I do with customers, that no matter what map a company is using or what vehicle they are driving, those six elements help CIOs figure out where to go. Another infographic shows how these elements look at the various stages (Enterprise 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0).

We also discussed the four actions we recommend all companies take to enhance their level of digital maturity:

  1. 1Align business strategy with core outcomes
  2. 2Align business goals with business processes
  3. 3Move the focus to customer experience
  4. 4Integrate all customer-facing and other appropriate technologies

It’s a well-written piece that includes another perspective along with mine, so I recommend clicking through to read the entire article. Thanks, David!
